Anytime I get a photo published, it is a BIG FREAKIN DEAL to me. I make it a practice to celebrate wins, no matter how small. Progress is unique. It's both cyclical and incremental, and often presents us with learning opportunities disguised as failures. Thing is, those failures show you the way to victory. If you have ten keys and the first nine don't work, you know the last one will! You've narrowed your options down to only winning strategies.
So, when you fail enough to score a victory, give yourself some credit. You did that. You put in the work. You prioritized. You sacrificed. In short, you earned it! Pat yourself on the back, and keep on going. Onward and most importantly upward, folks.
Here's a link to my photo in Wine Spectator. In terms of reach, this is my largest publication yet. If you're looking for it, my photo is presented next to Seastar Restaurant's blurb about Sommelier Erik Liedholm. Erik is one of the most respected wine professionals in the world, and it has been a true pleasure working with and learning from him over the years.
